Kaufman County Fresh Water Supply District No. 1-B is an extension of your local government within the State of Texas. The District was created in 2001 and is overseen by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ). Kaufman County 1B is located 2.5 miles east of Forney, Texas on the north side of Highway 80. Kaufman County 1B consists of more than 675 homes in Phase 1 of the Windmill Farms subdivision.
Services We Provide
Kaufman County 1B is responsible for providing public water, sanitary sewer, drainage, irrigation, roads, parks and recreational facilities, as well as, garbage and recycling collection services for the residents of the District. In addition, Kaufman County 1B, contracts with peace officers for the District.
How It Works
Kaufman County Fresh Water Supply District No. 1-B is governed by five Board members who are elected by the registered resident voters within the District. Each Board member serves a staggered four year term. The Board meets once a month to manage and conduct the business of the District. Kaufman County 1B engages consultants such as attorneys, engineers, bookkeepers, and financial advisors to both guide and deliver the District’s services.
Kaufman County 1B holds their regularly scheduled Board meetings on the 4th Tuesday of every month at 6:30 p.m. at the offices of Inframark, 9550 Helms Trail, Suite 800, Forney, TX 75126. The meetings are open to the public, per Texas law, and the Board welcomes and encourages residents to attend.
